For drilling into general steel, cast steel, cast iron,chilled cast iron, malleable cast iron, non-ferrous heavy and light metal, and abrasive plastic. FIREX Guhrings own coating uses the PVD process. An all round coating can achieve two to three times the performance of TiN, and considerably better than TiALn. Has excellent heat resistance as well as high toughness, therefore it is well-suited for interrupted cutting.
