The Makita DC40 charger is a compact Lithium-Ion 40V fast charger that is specially developed for the Makita XGT range of 40V Li-Ion battery packs. The charger is equipped with 2 fans to cool both the battery pack and the charger which prevents high temperatures, extends the life of the battery, and significantly accelerates the charging process.The Makita ADP10 Charger adapter is ideal to charge Makita LXT 14.4v and 18v batteries with the Makita DC40 charger. This allows for a charging rate of a Makita DC18RC 18V charger.
