The hardened & tempered hook jaw eliminates breakage, whilst the flash hardened teeth increase wear resistance. The nut abutment means that all loading is transferred direct from the handle to the nut & jaw via the nut abutment, ensuring that the frame is not load bearing, thus reducing the possibility of frame failure. Conforms to British Standard BS3594.
