Designed with acute starting abilities for close tolerance hole location. Solid carbide spot drills are significantly more wear resistant than HSS spot drills, suitable for high batch production on aluminium, plastics, free cutting steels, cast iron, titanium and some exotic/aerospace materials. Solid carbide is a denser material than HSS making solid carbide tools more rigid in use and less likely to deflect during opearation giving the highest possible degree of accuracy. Features and Benefits Solid carbide construction for improved tool hardness Significantly more wear resistant than HSS Suitable for high batch production Less likely to deflect resulting in higher accuracy finishesNotes Solid carbide is more brittle than HSS and therefore will not withstand continuous heavy shock loading
