Cobalt drills are incredibly strong, so they are ideal for drilling into very hard, abrasive and difficult to machine materials. They can perform well at high temperatures - because cobalt drills can resist heat for extended periods of time, they dont need to be cooled and cutting fluid doesnt need to be used. Our PTI cobalt drill bits have a split point, which makes centre punching unnecessary and avoids skidding. Ideal for use on stainless steel. Supplied in a sturdy plastic tube.
