Cobalt drills are incredibly strong, so they are ideal for drilling into very hard, abrasive and difficult to machine materials. They can perform well at high temperatures - because cobalt drills can resist heat for extended periods of time, they dont need to be cooled and cutting fluid doesnt need to be used.
